Olive Oil and Honey Toast
Valentina P
Earthy olive oil paired with honey and salt? It sounds unlikely, but it's a lovely salty-sweet-savory pairing for good quality sourdough bread.
How To MakeDiet Type: Classic
Shopping List
- 1 large slice crusty bread, such as sourdough (or 1 english muffin)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, to taste
- 1/2 to 1 tablespoon honey, to taste
- flakey sea salt, to taste
Instructions
- Step 1: Toast the bread in a toaster oven or under the broiler for a few minutes (keep an eye on it to avoid burning).
- Step 2: Drizzle or brush the toast generously with the olive oil until the surface is lightly covered. Then drizzle with the honey (not too much) and sprinkle the salt over the top. Keep in mind that the exact amounts needed will vary depending on the size of your bread, so adjust accordingly.
- Serve: Enjoy warm.
