How to Make Lettuce Buns

The easiest lettuce burger buns made from 1 ingredient - iceberg lettuce!

- 1 round-shaped head of iceberg lettuce
Instructions
- Step 1: Cut 1 large head of iceberg lettuce in half vertically. Then cut each half in half vertically (essentially quartering 1 head of lettuce into 4 equal pieces). Slice off any hard bottom stem pieces.
- Step 2: Pull out the inner leaves from each quarter of lettuce, leaving the larger outside leaves intact (reference the images above). These outer pieces of lettuce will serve as the bun. Each 'bun' piece should be about 3-4 layers thick of lettuce. You will need less lettuce than you think - too many lettuce layers will make this more into a salad than a burger. Use the inner leaves in salads or cook into stir fries!
- Serve: Use your 'buns' in your favorite burger recipes, such as Kimchi Cheeseburgers, Iceburgers, Turkey Burgers, or Bean and Oat Veggie Burgers.
