Seasoned Ground Turkey
- 1 pound 93% lean ground turkey
- 66666667/100000000 cup water
- 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons taco seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour or cassava flour Tacos
- 6 to 8 small corn or grain-free tortillas
- 1 bell pepper, diced (any color)
- mixed greens, to taste
- guacamole, to taste
- dairy-free sour cream, to taste (we like this one)
Instructions
- Step 1: Cook the ground turkey in a dry frying pan over medium-high heat until browned, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain the excess liquid and put back in the pan.
- Step 2: Stir in the taco seasoning, flour, and water. Simmer on medium heat until the liquid has cooked off, about 2 to 4 more minutes. Set aside.
- Serve: Assembly time! Warm the tortillas until pliable using a dry skillet, over an open flame, or wrapped in damp paper towels in a microwave (only about 15 seconds in a microwave). Layer a few lettuce leaves over each taco, spoon some taco meat on top, sprinkle with the bell peppers, and add the dollops of guacamole and sour cream. Enjoy!
