Crispy Chickpeas (Air Fryer or Oven)

Crispy Chickpeas recipe made in an air fryer or oven! Only 4 ingredients, easy, and perfect as a crunchy snack or salad topping.

- 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil (or grapeseed or avocado oil)
- 1 teaspoon spices of choice (optional, Note 1)
- salt, to taste
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (or an air fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit). Gently rub the drained chickpeas on a dry kitchen towel (or paper towel) and remove any hanging skins.
- Step 2: Toss the chickpeas with the oil, optional spices, and a good pinch of salt in a small mixing bowl.
- Step 3: Spread the chickpeas on a baking sheet (or air fryer basket). Roast in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring once. To air fry, cook for about 13 minutes total, or until golden brown and crispy. Shake the basket often to brown evenly on all sides.
- Serve: Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container on the counter. These are great in Buddha Bowls.
Recipe Notes
Note 1: Use you favorite spice blend here (something with garlic in it works especially well), or try making your own combination. Curry powder, taco seasoning, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and/or cayenne are all great options. Dial the spiciness up or down to your liking.
