Shopping List

For the Bowl
- 1 beef, turkey, or veggie burger
- 1/2 medium sweet potato
- 1 handful broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
- 1 slice cheese, optional (dairy or non-dairy)
- all-purpose seasoning, to taste (optional, Note 1)
- salt and pepper, to taste Optional Toppings
- ketchup, mustard, pickles, etc.
Instructions
- Step 1: Toss the broccoli florets in 1/2 tablespoon of the olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Step 2: Cut the sweet potato into 1/4 inch thin french fry shapes. Toss with the remaining 1/2 tablespoon olive oil. Season with optional all-purpose seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Step 3: Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Set the air fryer timer for 10 minutes.
- Step 4: Place the seasoned broccoli on one side of the air fryer basket, and the fries on the other side. Everything should be spread into a single layer. Note: If scaling this recipe up, you will probably need to make this in batches so that everything can fit without overcrowding.
- Step 5: Air fry the broccoli for 5 to 7 minutes. Use tongs to remove the broccoli and then continue to cook the fries for another for another 2 to 5 minutes, or until they are lightly browned and tender. The fries should be done within 8 to 10 minutes total if they were thinly sliced (add more time if they are on the thicker side).
- Step 6: Meanwhile, cook the burger patties in a frying pan over medium-high heat until cooked to your liking. Right before the patty is done cooking, place the optional cheese slice on top and cover the pan with a lid to let the steam melt the cheese.
- Serve: Build your plate with the burger, broccoli, and fries. Add fixings and enjoy!
Recipe Notes
Note 1: Any all-purpose seasoning blend will work. If you don't have a blend, omit it or try an equal parts combination of paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
