Guacamole Recipe

An easy guacamole recipe made simply with avocado, lime juice, cilantro, red onion, and a bit of jalapeño. Perfect for tacos, chips, and burrito bowls. A little fresh mango, pineapple, or tomato would also be delicious in this.

Shopping List
- 2 large avocadoes (ripe and unblemished)
- 1 small lime, juiced
- 1/4 cup cilantro leaves, chopped
- 1/4 red onion, finely diced
- 1 small jalapeño, finely chopped (adjust to spice preference)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Step 1: Slice the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Step 2: Combine all of the ingredients to the mixing bowl, lightly mashing the avocado with a fork so that it is still quite chunky. Taste and adjust seasonings as desired.
- Serve: Enjoy immediately for best results. To help the guacamole store longer without naturally browning, try packing it as tightly as possible in an airtight container so that the surface is covered and comes in contact with very little air.
