Juicy Skillet Chicken Breast

Juicy whole chicken breast cooked in a simple pan, and on the table in under 15 minutes. Just chicken, oil, and some pantry spices. Perfect for meal prep.

Shopping List
- 1 large boneless skinless chicken breast
- 1 tablespoon olive or avocado oil
- 1/2 teaspoon EACH cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika (or cayenne)
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Step 1: Rinse and pat the chicken dry. Stir together the cumin, garlic, onion, paprika, and salt. Rub the spice blend all over the chicken.
- Step 2: Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear for 2 minutes. Flip and sear another 2 minutes.
- Step 3: Add 1/4 cup of water to the pan and cover with a lid. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Set a timer for 10 minutes. Keep adding in 1/4 cup of water as the liquid cooks off (about every 3 minutes) and covering it back up with a lid. Note: If you have a massive 11+ ounce breast, you may need to cook add an extra few minutes.
- Step 4: After 10 minutes, transfer the chicken to a plate and cover with foil for 5 to 8 minutes.
- Serve: Slice or dice the chicken, reserving the juices to help keep the chicken moist.
